Are Canadian Lives Worth A Gas Pipeline? - Civil Rights Button.

More than 150 Canadians lost their lives in Afghanistan. My sympathy lies with those families and also the survivors of the insurgency and their families.

We were sold a war in Afghanistan that would bring freedom for women and freedom for the Afghan people. Our version of freedom meant freedom from the burqa, burkha, burka or burqua.  Regardless of which dialect you use the culture remains.

 The situation for women has not changed, the situation for attendance of girls at school has changed marginally. The majority of girls do not go to school as I write and as Canadian soldiers leave Afghanistan.

We were unable to subdue the Afghan people and they have prevailed. 

The President of Afghanistan, Hamid Karzai, the puppet and gas and oil man installed by the US, is no longer a nodding donkey.  He's not doing what he is told! Oh My!

The reason the US supported the formerly supported the Taliban is that they believed they were strong enough to control Afghanistan.  By controlling Afghanistan they would allow the wet-dream, the ultimate pipeline to beat all pipelines, the TAPI.
