Buttons for USC Canada’s I Am A Seed Saver Campaign - Supporting the Seeds That Feed Us! April 01 2015
We have been making buttons for the fantastic folks at USC Canada and their I Am A Seed Saver Campaign for a while now and we love food, so we’re excited to tell you about the great work they are doing!
The I Am A Seed Saver Campaign is meant to #CelebrateSeeds, which are the foundation of our food system and are source of the rich and resilient biodiversity of what we eat.
USC Canada is working with family farmers in 11 countries around the world, including Canada, so they can continue saving good seeds and growing good food for their communities.
They have recruited some big name friends to support the campaign and be seed savers. Musicians Feist, Tim Baker of Hey Rosetta!, Jim Cuddy, Amy Millan of Stars, Ian Thornley of Big Wreck, Tim Kingsbury of Arcade Fire, Bruce Cockburn and Sam Roberts are all standing up for seeds. Go to iamaseedsaver.org to see what they have to say.
In addition to this great video, USC Canada’s awesome site is full of great information and resources. So take some time to look around and learn how you too can become a seed saver!
To keep up to date with USC Canada and the great work they are doing, you can also check them out on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
