Great videos! I’ve always had success with the following method. When a shell is
stuck simply remove any parts from the crimp die, spin the die table around as if
you were going to crimp then pull the handle down. The shell will pop right out.
In the 10 years that we’ve been doing custom buttons here at punkit.com this
method has worked for us 100% of the time.

Thanks Punkitdotcom that’s a great tip to get a shell out of a button maker.  It works really
well when the shell is stuck up inside the upper die.  In tests it worked well when 1, 2 and
even 3 shells were stuck inside but not when the shells were really jammed in hard.
Then I still found the only way was to use a tool with a point and gently prise the jammed
button parts out of the upper die.
