New Video: Making Buttons with Dura-Lar December 27 2016

This video from The Button Guy will show you how to make buttons with all kinds of different finishes using Dura-Lar transparent film!

Dura-Lar is the perfect acetate alternative.  A highly versatile polyester film that is the perfect cross between mylar and acetate (which CANNOT GO THROUGH A LASER PRINTER!).

It is a super high-quality product that is heat resistant, tear resistant and does not absorb moisture or discolor with age. So your buttons artwork will still look stunning for years and years to come!

WHAT YOU NEED TO MAKE BUTTON WITH DURA-LAR

- Button hand press
- Button Parts (shells and pinned backs)
- Printed 8.5x11" Duralar
- A laser printer
- Something to layer under your Dura-Lar

MATERIALS TO USE

Some great ideas for materials to put underneath Dura-Lar are things like metallic foil, holographic foil, reflective or glow-in-the-dark tape, thin fabric, and book pages or maps!

HOT TIP

It's important to use materials that have a similar weight to printer paper so it doesn't jam your machine. If you do run into a jam however, here's how you can unjam your machine :)
