Use 100% Less Plastic STOP Buying Bottled Water - Environmental Button
It would seem many people believe that when you recycle a plastic bottle out pops another plastic bottle. You can only recycle a plastic bottle once and what is actually produced from intensive high energy recycling is a dense plastic product named PET. If plastic bottles remain in the landfill for 1000 years, PET will be there for a millennium. It makes no sense for a few limited products that will never break down.
PET stands for polyethylene terephthalate, a plastic resin
and a form of polyester. Polyethylene terephthalate is a polymer that
is formed by combining two monomers: modified ethylene glycol and
purified terephthalic acid.
