Why is it that taking action is frowned upon by "respectable" society.  Why is protest frowned upon?  So on the one hand society now embraces the idea that women should have equal rights and despite the fact that they don't have equal pay yet, there have been some improvements.  But the women who protested for those rights still have criminal records, they are still on watch lists and considered fair game for domestic surveillance and are somehow considered dangerous as opposed to courageous.

 Don't like your situation? Change it. Wearing a civil rights button may not change the world but it's a start!
